London
Ottawa (FR available)
Toronto
Windsor
- You select up to 3 preferred centres during registration — ranked by preference.
- The MCC assigns centres based on availability. Centre changes after assignment are not permitted.
- Book travel and accommodation only after receiving your centre assignment, not before.
- If you require French-language testing, select Ottawa as your first choice.
Results Timeline
Results are typically available approximately 8 weeks after your exam date. For 2026 specifically:
- May 2 session — results released end of June 2026 (approx. 8 weeks)
- September 19–20 session — results released late November 2026 (approx. 9–10 weeks)
Results are released to the MCC portal, not by email. Log in to your MCC account on or after the announced release date to view your result.
Test Accommodations
Candidates who require accommodations (extended time, accessible facilities, etc.) must submit their request by a separate, earlier deadline:
- May 2026: Accommodation request deadline — January 6, 2026
- September 2026: Accommodation request deadline — April 21, 2026
These deadlines fall several weeks before the general application close dates. Do not wait until your application is submitted to begin the accommodation process — documentation requirements can take time to gather.
Planning Your Preparation Window
Working backwards from each session date gives you a clear preparation runway:
- September 2026 exam: Registration closes March 25. That leaves approximately 26 weeks from registration close to exam day — enough time for a structured, full-preparation cycle if you start immediately after applying.
- A typical preparation arc: 8–12 weeks of structured review, followed by 4–6 weeks of station practice and mock OSCEs, followed by 2 weeks of targeted revision and exam-day readiness.
- Understand the station types and how they're scored before reviewing clinical content.
- Build your communication framework early — it underpins every station.
- Use the 8-core-specialty structure to organize your revision rather than random topic lists.
- Practice with structured clinical approaches, not just disease summaries.
